Knit Tank with Yoke

This is the tank I finally finished. It didn't turn out exactly the way I wanted it to, but I still wore it. I was hoping for a quirky tank top, not something a kid would wear. More like this or this. Maybe the prints I chose make it seem more juvenile? Or the neckline?

I wonder what other people do when they finish a project they don't like 100%...

Workin' Myself Ragged

I've been dealing with some urgent issues at work lately - water quality failures and difficult staff. It sucks when you think you're doing a pretty good job and then someone comes along and insinuates that you didn't do right by them, which is now the reason they're in trouble. It makes me second guess myself and then I stew over whether I adequately defended myself or acted like a pushover. I refuse to let other people treat me like I don't know anything. But, of course, I don't want to be a bitch about it either. Blah.

Anyways, I have been drafting up patterns for a skirt with pockets and a tank top with a yoke. Haven't actually tested the patterns out yet, but I will show you when I do.

This and this is the basis for my drafted skirt and tank top pattern, respectively.

And to end on a positive note:

Spot Cleaning

Lately, I've been using a bag I purchased from VeryPurplePerson and just today, I spilled some Thai food sauce on it. Noes! When I got home I immediately dumped out the contents and spot cleaned it using warm water, detergent, and makeup sponges and hung it to dry. We shall see in the morning whether my methods were successful.

My bag is a combination of the patterns shown in Row 3, #5 and Row 3, #6.
