I've been sewing quite a bit lately, so I thought I would share all my finished projects. For the two full skirts, I used verypurpleperson's tutorial for the easy full skirt. The first skirt I made, I posted some details here. And this is me wearing the finished product.
The pattern was so easy I decided to make another using white cotton fabric from Ikea and black grosgrain ribbon. I got the inspiration for the 2nd skirt from this entry at creaturecomfortsblog.com.
(Ok, so I copied the skirt in the picture - it's cute!)
And because I had some of that owl fabric from the first skirt leftover, I decided to just put some pieces together to make an apron.
(Sorry for the dark picture.)
Two pockets (that are not sewn shut).
I used the selvedge from the fabric because it shows the color palette of the owls.
And lastly, I took a batik robe from my mom and altered it to make a fitted dress. I can imagine myself wearing this to the office during the spring or summer season.
All photos were taken by Albert. =)

Mah Sewing Machine(s)
I went home for Chinese New Year and my mom gave me an old sewing machine she purchased for my aunt years ago - so now I have two! The second is a Kenmore brand and has stitch length and width options (which my Janome doesn't), two spots for top thread spools, a zipper foot, a satin stitch foot, and a darning plate. I don't even know what a darning plate is for yet!
Doesn't it have that oldie-but-goodie look?
Stitch width and stitch length selector.
All the different stitches it can do - there is some variation from the stitches my Janome can do.
And, of course, my first love.
I can't wait to make something with my new (old) machine.

Mah Wisdom Toof
I got all four removed a few days ago. Check out how big this one is!
A Skirt and a Bag
The fabric pattern detail!
This is a reversible vinyl covered bag that I was inspired to make based on a finished project by verypurpleperson.

Hard and Fast
When you fall in love, do you fall hard and fast? (That's what she said.)
Here's a couple of projects completed with my sewing machine in the past week:
Shortening sleeves on a printed tunic.
Shortening a skirt to make it less dowdy. I also hemmed the curtain panels pictured behind me for my guy.
Here's me raking for the first time in my life in my altered skirt. I don't know what people complain about - raking is so much fun!
Shoe bag out of pretty fabric and ribbon with a fish design on it.
Pillow for Albert's new green chair (with superfluous before picture).
